He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Partidas reached it. Partidas's Goren Torrado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Detres in the 7th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Vikings F.C's Jacinto Detres sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Goren Torrado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Firman Tuñon took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Goren Torrado to make any attempt to save it. The audience was convinced that Jacinto Detres's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Goren Torrado was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. 27 minutes into the match, Jacinto Detres notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Partidas's Goren Torrado. Goren Torrado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Cisco Diez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vikings F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Cisco Diez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Goren Torrado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Larpe Durazno came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Vikings F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Larpe Durazno couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Partidas's zone, Jacinto Detres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Goren Torrado came out of the goal and Jacinto Detres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
