Radamel Falcao's late challenge caught a Real Madrid Castilla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Radamel Falcao helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Colombia FC's Radamel Falcao got a free kick in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beti Capitillo in the 15th minute of play forced Real Madrid Castilla's goalkeeper Zornin Mielgo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Peter Frejon reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ferdi Frommermann. The goal made the score 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beremundo Carlos during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ferdi Frommermann was out of position in the 33 minute of play, and Peter Frejon capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Peter Frejon really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Beti Capitillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Zornin Mielgo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Real Madrid Castilla's Zornin Mielgo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beti Capitillo in the 42nd minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Julio Areizabal made the kick off in the second half. If Peter Frejon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zornin Mielgo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beti Capitillo's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. After 54 minutes of play, Colombia FC's Julio Areizabal made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zornin Mielgo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Beti Capitillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zornin Mielgo having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Julio Areizabal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zornin Mielgo. Julio Areizabal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. After 67 minutes Colombia FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marques Orruma who took care of the corner kick. Radamel Falcao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Areizabal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zornin Mielgo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Ferdi Frommermann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruy Bobadilla in the 77th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Horacio Querendil during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Beti Capitillo came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Colombia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beti Capitillo couldn't finish the play. Julio Areizabal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Zornin Mielgo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zornin Mielgo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Areizabal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 99th minute, Radamel Falcao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Colombia FC played a much better game than Real Madrid Castilla and deserved their victory. The Real Madrid Castilla players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
