Lucero Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sancho Cardeña having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Lucero Torres made a precise shot to the right of Sancho Cardeña. Volcondia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 27 minutes into the match, Volcondia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucero Torres came free, but Sancho Cardeña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martxel Quijana hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Montel Escanciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javiar Miranes in the 37th minute of the match. Sancho Cardeña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucero Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, Volcondia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Perdomo came free, but Sancho Cardeña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucero Torres in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sancho Cardeña prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Maranguay booed when Volcondia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celestino Unzueta didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Lucero Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clemente Perdomo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Sancho Cardeña tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sancho Cardeña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucero Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucero Torres in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sancho Cardeña saved Volcondia FC from getting behind. Celestino Unzueta's late challenge caught a Maranguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celestino Unzueta helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Volcondia FC's Celestino Unzueta got a free kick in the 90th minute. Lucero Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sancho Cardeña having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Maranguay left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Volcondia FC.
