An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Ibarra in the 5th minute of play forced Vorpal Swords's goalkeeper Estebe Fontiveros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Javier Ibarra in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Estebe Fontiveros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 15th minute Javier Ibarra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Estebe Fontiveros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 26 played minutes Vorpal Swords got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Aguiluz. In the 27th minute of the match Fertus Flames shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Estebe Fontiveros showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vorpal Swords's zone, Perez Collantes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Estebe Fontiveros came out of the goal and Perez Collantes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Damian fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Damian's Perez Collantes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Estebe Fontiveros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perez Collantes in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Damian were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Damian's Perez Collantes got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vorpal Swords's Estebe Fontiveros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perez Collantes in the 57th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vorpal Swords's Rafael Aguiluz got a free kick in the 58th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Perez Collantes in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Estebe Fontiveros saved Vorpal Swords from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perez Collantes in the 63rd minute of play forced Vorpal Swords's goalkeeper Estebe Fontiveros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Damian's Javier Ibarra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Estebe Fontiveros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 68 minutes in the game, Perez Collantes fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Estebe Fontiveros having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Javier Ibarra in the 68th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perez Collantes in the 69th minute of play forced Vorpal Swords's goalkeeper Estebe Fontiveros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Estebe Fontiveros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perez Collantes in the 71st minute of play. Ignado Zubiaga charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ignado Zubiaga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd match minute, Vorpal Swords was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignado Zubiaga to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, Vorpal Swords's goal looked a bit too open when Perez Collantes came free, but Estebe Fontiveros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vorpal Swords's Estebe Fontiveros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Vorpal Swords from getting a goal against them. When Perez Collantes came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Damian fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Perez Collantes couldn't finish the play. If Javier Ibarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Perez Collantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Perez Collantes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Damian's supporters rose to their feet, but Perez Collantes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Estebe Fontiveros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Javier Ibarra scored 0-2 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Estebe Fontiveros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Estebe Fontiveros made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Javier Ibarra sent off a good shot on target. Estebe Fontiveros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perez Collantes in the 95th minute of play. Estebe Fontiveros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perez Collantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Damian's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
