In the 50th minute of the match Guamareyes FC got a corner. Niwdex's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eutropio Villaboa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When Hermon Cainzos came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Guamareyes FC fans jumped to their feet. Guamareyes FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
