The tension between the Yerbabuena and the Pundi players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Yerbabuena's Milio Sarasua got a free kick in the 5th minute. 8 minutes into the game, Aurelio Campesino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ruperto Cires was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Aurelio Campesino sped through Yerbabuena's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ruperto Cires. In the 19th match minute, Yerbabuena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesaro Robredo to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the game, Min Toribia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pundi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yerbabuena the free kick. After a rather tough play, Pundi's Min Toribia got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 46thth minute of the game Aurelio Campesino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yerbabuena's Ruperto Cires was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Pundi were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Christiano Capellan scored 1-2 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xavon Morillas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Vito Elenes came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Pundi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vito Elenes couldn't finish the play. Pundi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vito Elenes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ruperto Cires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vito Elenes got free with Ruperto Cires in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pundi's Vito Elenes got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pundi's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
