Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Menendo Ceballos kicked off to start the match. If Vermudo Hormaza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the match, Engano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Caton Luengo came free, but Tajo Contreras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guilabertus Rancaño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilio Mella in the 10th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Engano FC's zone, Caton Luengo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tajo Contreras came out of the goal and Caton Luengo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vermudo Hormaza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Vermudo Hormaza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Masharerain FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vermudo Hormaza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tajo Contreras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Caton Luengo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Tajo Contreras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruno Baldonado during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Guilabertus Rancaño showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teofilio Mella in the 31st minute of the match. When Menendo Ceballos came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Engano FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Menendo Ceballos couldn't finish the play. After 34 played minutes, Engano FC's Uriel Blasco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Guilabertus Rancaño came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Engano FC reached it. After some careless play in the Masharerain FC defense, Menendo Ceballos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guilabertus Rancaño. The Masharerain FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guilabertus Rancaño should have stopped the shot. After the first half Engano FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Caton Luengo made a kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Vermudo Hormaza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tajo Contreras. Engano FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vermudo Hormaza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Vermudo Hormaza might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tajo Contreras. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vermudo Hormaza ran back to his position shaking his head. Tajo Contreras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caton Luengo, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
