He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Santafé f.c reached it. 17 minutes into the match, Alianza Sur's goal looked a bit too open when Francesco Casanueva came free, but Nerio Barrutia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Millano Saldoval sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alianza Sur's Millano Saldoval got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miliano Herce kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. If Nemesio Urreta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Millano Saldoval made a kick off. Jerico Agado was shown his second yellow card after 51 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Rafael Corral came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Santafé f.c fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Corral couldn't finish the play. Santafé f.c's Arano Tomas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Millano Saldoval in the 61st minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Alianza Sur's Millano Saldoval sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arano Tomas narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
