Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Francesco Casanueva started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Vicente Villacis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arano Tomas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcial Pombo in the 13th minute of play forced Maceo's goalkeeper Baraquiel Mujica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Corral hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Santafé f.c's zone, Gustau Durazo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arano Tomas came out of the goal and Gustau Durazo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 22 minutes into the match, Santafé f.c's goal looked a bit too open when Gustau Durazo came free, but Arano Tomas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Maceo getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Jon Areces hit a great ball. In the 36thth minute of the game Gustau Durazo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santafé f.c's Arano Tomas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 40 minutes into the game, Gustau Durazo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Arano Tomas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Maceo's Gustau Durazo in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Santafé f.c's goalie prevented a goal. 47 minutes into the game, Vicente Villacis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arano Tomas. Vicente Villacis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 56th match minute, Maceo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Txordon Para to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the match, Santafé f.c's goal looked a bit too open when Gustau Durazo came free, but Arano Tomas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santafé f.c's Arano Tomas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Villacis in the 62nd minute of play. When Quintan Camazon fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maceo's protests and gave Quintan Camazon a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 played minutes Maceo got a freekick which was hit by Quintan Camazon. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Maceo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rafael Corral was slow to take the kick. During this time Santafé f.c's players had a chance to rest. Vicente Villacis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Arano Tomas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Gustau Durazo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arano Tomas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Jeronimo Frera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arano Tomas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustau Durazo in the 74th minute of the match. A collision led to Santafé f.c getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Osvaldo Teijeiro hit a great ball. When Maceo's Gustau Durazo in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Santafé f.c's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Santafé f.c's zone, Vicente Villacis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arano Tomas came out of the goal and Vicente Villacis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Maceo's Baraquiel Mujica got control of the ball when Marcial Pombo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arano Tomas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustau Durazo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Vicente Villacis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustau Durazo in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arano Tomas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Vicente Villacis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maceo's supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Villacis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arano Tomas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Maceo had played much better football throughout.
