Guido Orozco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Iturburu having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Montes Chinchilla made a precise shot to the right of Juan Iturburu. Guambia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Pello Matheu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Policarpio Agosta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Fiz Licon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guido Orozco couldn't finish the play. Juan Iturburu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Orozco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Caluce FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Eneto Lalo hit a great ball. After the first half Guambia were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Guido Orozco made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Montes Chinchilla in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Iturburu saved Guambia from getting behind. Guido Orozco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. In the 64th minute of the match, Inguma Espelz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fiz Licon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 70 minutes into the match, Montes Chinchilla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juan Iturburu. Guambia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Montes Chinchilla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The audience was convinced that Guido Orozco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juan Iturburu was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Inguma Espelz struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Fiz Licon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guambia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Orozco in the 84th minute of play forced Guambia's goalkeeper Juan Iturburu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Guido Orozco notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Guambia's Juan Iturburu. Juan Iturburu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
