Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tano Echevarria took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a little luck, Monitas FC's Lizardi Elizondo got control of the ball when Xosepin Guillamas tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Bucaramanga's Xosepin Guillamas in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Monitas FC's goalie prevented a goal. 7 minutes into the match, Bucaramanga's goal looked a bit too open when Tano Echevarria came free, but Gian-Carlo Verdeces reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute, Tano Echevarria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gian-Carlo Verdeces was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Monitas FC's goalkeeper Lizardi Elizondo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lluis Herenchun. After 16 minutes, Zuhaitz Cerillo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monitas FC and the Bucaramanga players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zuhaitz Cerillo kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Ferran Carradelo struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Gian-Carlo Verdeces didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monitas FC. A collision led to Bucaramanga getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Lluis Herenchun hit a great ball. Gian-Carlo Verdeces showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferran Carradelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 34th match minute, Monitas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tano Echevarria to maneuver through the defense. Tano Echevarria scored 1-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gian-Carlo Verdeces, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Xosepin Guillamas came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Bucaramanga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xosepin Guillamas couldn't finish the play. In the 44th match minute, Monitas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isusko Carrandi to maneuver through the defense. After 47 minutes Monitas FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Casomiro Cervilla who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Casomiro Cervilla got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lizardi Elizondo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xosepin Guillamas in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lizardi Elizondo saved Monitas FC from getting behind. Lizardi Elizondo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xosepin Guillamas's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bucaramanga! The referee gave Monitas FC a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Zadornin Mocellar, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bucaramanga's Gian-Carlo Verdeces. 1-3. 69 minutes into the match, Monitas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cloyo Aramburu came free, but Lizardi Elizondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Lluis Herenchun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bucaramanga's supporters rose to their feet, but Lluis Herenchun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lizardi Elizondo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zadornin Mocellar hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Bucaramanga's Vachon Rascon got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Bucaramanga booed when Monitas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isusko Carrandi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Monitas FC's Lizardi Elizondo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cloyo Aramburu in the 87th minute of play. If Lluis Herenchun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gian-Carlo Verdeces made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Ferran Carradelo sent off a good shot on target. Lluis Herenchun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Lizardi Elizondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Monitas FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Bucaramanga's much stronger midfield.
