After a defensive mix-up in Vijagual's zone, Ovando Herrador stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristos Pagan came out of the goal and Ovando Herrador tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, Gibraltar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Palos Solo came free, but Mateo Avendaño reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Vijagual's goal looked a bit too open when Ovando Herrador came free, but Cristos Pagan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vijagual would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
