Guifre Areta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo Avendaño having to interfere. Wilfredo Zunzunegui kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After 45 minutes, Guifre Areta made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Gibraltar FC's Mateo Avendaño tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Guifre Areta scored 1-2 in the 49th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mateo Avendaño, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Madaleno Patiño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo Avendaño having to interfere. In the 75th minute Guifre Areta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Avendaño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melquiades Melcon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ovando Herrador in the 80th minute of the match. Melquiades Melcon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovando Herrador in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovando Herrador in the 91st minute of play forced Piendamo's goalkeeper Melquiades Melcon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute Piendamo were awarded a corner. Rafe Capon went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Piendamo's corner Rafe Capon fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mateo Avendaño quite easily take care of the ball. Gibraltar FC's Yoel Canto got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Piendamo's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
