An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipillo Farre in the 14th minute of play forced blue demons's goalkeeper Elija Azcaraso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Uxio Tovilleja in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elija Azcaraso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elija Azcaraso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uxio Tovilleja in the 21st minute of the match. Tonali FC's Americo Olivan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Amilburu in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute Leonel Amilburu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Americo Olivan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Rufio Hebia came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the blue demons fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rufio Hebia couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Tonali FC's Americo Olivan got control of the ball when Rufio Hebia tried to sneak it across the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, blue demons's Leonel Amilburu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Americo Olivan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 36 minutes into the game, Moise Avendaño was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. blue demons's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tonali FC the free kick. After 36 played minutes blue demons got a freekick which was hit by Moise Avendaño. blue demons's Elija Azcaraso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipillo Farre in the 37th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonel Amilburu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Moise Avendaño kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Rufio Hebia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Americo Olivan was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Americo Olivan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Amilburu, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. blue demons's Rufio Hebia managed to work through Tonali FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Rufio Hebia dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 82nd minute, Rufio Hebia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Amilburu in the 84th minute of play forced Tonali FC's goalkeeper Americo Olivan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rufio Hebia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Americo Olivan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florencio Cerezal hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Uxio Tovilleja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Tonali FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tonali FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
