Spectators: 6694 (Terracing: 5694, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ruben Gustros took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mouricio Reymondo got free with Xano Antecha in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abilio Melo in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christian Villacanes saved Maxi FC from getting behind. Christian Villacanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abilio Melo in the 6th minute of the match. After 8 minutes of play, Sabanita's Paulo Portugal made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Villacanes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Xano Antecha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Gustros in the 15th minute of play. Abilio Melo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frans Sañudo's late challenge caught a Sabanita's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frans Sañudo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th minute, Abilio Melo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Abilio Melo put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Christian Villacanes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Portugal in the 36th minute of play forced Maxi FC's goalkeeper Christian Villacanes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Maxi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christian Villacanes should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulo Portugal to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Maxi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Txerran Elorza to maneuver through the defense. Christian Villacanes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Portugal in the 62nd minute of play. Xano Antecha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Gustros in the 69th minute of play. Abilio Melo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Christian Villacanes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mouricio Reymondo kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Sabanita's Paulo Portugal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Abilio Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the game, Maxi FC's Mouricio Reymondo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xano Antecha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. If Paulin Tostado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Portugal struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Christian Villacanes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sabanita. When the match was over Sabanita could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Maxi FC throughout the match.
