The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulin Tostado got free with Formerio Avila in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Formerio Avila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Gustros in the 14th minute of play. Orlando Pride's Gaizkine Goicoechea got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nuno Bojorquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Christian Villacanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Orlando Pride's goal looked a bit too open when Frans Sañudo came free, but Formerio Avila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaizkine Goicoechea kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Gaizkine Goicoechea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orlando Pride's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaizkine Goicoechea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Villacanes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

After 55 minutes of play, Orlando Pride's Gaizkine Goicoechea made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Villacanes was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Nuno Bojorquez got free with Christian Villacanes in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Orlando Pride's Formerio Avila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulin Tostado in the 62nd minute of play. Nuno Bojorquez might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christian Villacanes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nuno Bojorquez ran back to his position shaking his head. Txerran Elorza charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Txerran Elorza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Txerran Elorza kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Christian Villacanes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nuno Bojorquez in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Orlando Pride's goal looked a bit too open when Ruben Gustros came free, but Formerio Avila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 85 minutes, Gaizkine Goicoechea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orlando Pride's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaizkine Goicoechea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mouricio Reymondo in the 87th minute of play forced Orlando Pride's goalkeeper Formerio Avila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaizkine Goicoechea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute, Nuno Bojorquez made a precise shot to the right of Christian Villacanes. Maxi FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Marco Tolentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Christian Villacanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
