Marcelino Llopiz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Bixintxo Ladra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gero Sonibas fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AT SAGITARIUS's protests and gave Gero Sonibas a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC America booed when AT SAGITARIUS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gero Sonibas didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC America's Medardo Espelz got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 33 minutes into the game, Dante Villela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AT SAGITARIUS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC America the free kick. When FC America's Manni Ucieda in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bixintxo Ladra to strike the kick off in the second half. When Ivon Ontaneda came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the AT SAGITARIUS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivon Ontaneda couldn't finish the play. Bixintxo Ladra took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cloyo Fariña. Cloyo Fariña dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Cloyo Fariña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bixintxo Ladra in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Ivon Ontaneda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cloyo Fariña was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Bixintxo Ladra was shown his second yellow card after 68 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Bixintxo Ladra hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. When FC America's Manni Ucieda in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 87 minutes into the match, AT SAGITARIUS's goal looked a bit too open when Cecilio Reiriz came free, but Marcelino Llopiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manni Ucieda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelino Llopiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manni Ucieda in the 91st minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Manni Ucieda made a precise shot to the right of Marcelino Llopiz. AT SAGITARIUS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. The FC America supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC America would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
