The audience thought a goal was coming when Primeiro Rivacoba got free with Ricardo Saracho in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Cauchitos's zone, Adalberto Martinez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Saracho came out of the goal and Adalberto Martinez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnalt Tijero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Imanol Zorrilla having to interfere. Ildefonso Lassa struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Imanol Zorrilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cauchitos. Arnalt Tijero hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Cauchitos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Adalberto Martinez scored to the left of an out of position Ricardo Saracho, making the score, 2-0. Cauchitos's Serapio Arostegui got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricardo Saracho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Primeiro Rivacoba in the 36th minute. Imanol Zorrilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serapio Arostegui went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. LA MECHITA's Imanol Zorrilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serapio Arostegui in the 48th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Ildefonso Lassa didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-2 via right post in the game's 54th minute. Cauchitos's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Imanol Zorrilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Lassa in the 77th minute of play. The supporters of LA MECHITA booed when Cauchitos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnalt Tijero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Imanol Zorrilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ildefonso Lassa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 83 in the game by Serapio Arostegui from a close distance when the talented Imanol Zorrilla managed to make a qualified save. LA MECHITA's players were relieved. If Ildefonso Lassa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Primeiro Rivacoba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo Saracho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Primeiro Rivacoba, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Cauchitos players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
