Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Pacho Piñeiros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Epifanio Lloret read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. DEPORTIVO CALI's Epifanio Lloret played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luzaide Caldevila in the 4th minute of play. Luzaide Caldevila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Lloret having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Pacho Piñeiros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Junior fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Epifanio Lloret took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luzaide Caldevila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pacho Piñeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iraitz Santayana hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Epifanio Lloret made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luzaide Caldevila in the 28th minute of play. When Iraitz Santayana fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DEPORTIVO CALI's protests and gave Iraitz Santayana a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Junior fc booed when DEPORTIVO CALI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iraitz Santayana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eduardo Gabi was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 34th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Epifanio Lloret was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Luzaide Caldevila capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luzaide Caldevila really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Luzaide Caldevila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ofelio Encinas to make the kick off. Luzaide Caldevila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Epifanio Lloret tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pacho Piñeiros in the 62nd minute of play forced DEPORTIVO CALI's goalkeeper Epifanio Lloret to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luzaide Caldevila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Epifanio Lloret tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pacho Piñeiros struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Epifanio Lloret didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Junior fc. In the 72nd minute Pacho Piñeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Lloret saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Luzaide Caldevila had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Epifanio Lloret. DEPORTIVO CALI's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luzaide Caldevila was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. DEPORTIVO CALI's Epifanio Lloret played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luzaide Caldevila in the 79th minute of play. If Luzaide Caldevila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 played minutes DEPORTIVO CALI got a freekick which was hit by Iraitz Santayana. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by DEPORTIVO CALI's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eduardo Gabi was slow to take the kick. During this time Junior fc's players had a chance to rest. Junior fc's Eduardo Gabi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Epifanio Lloret in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 90th minute, Ted Tejeyra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 played minutes DEPORTIVO CALI got a freekick which was hit by Iraitz Santayana. Epifanio Lloret came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Junior fc's Luzaide Caldevila. But to his dismay, Luzaide Caldevila quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. There was no doubt that Junior fc were the better team. Junior fc's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
