Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ofelio Encinas got the match started through his kick off. Epifanio Lloret made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Canta in the 8th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Guido Canta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guido Canta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Epifanio Lloret breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ruben Feyto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 13 minutes of play, Leon FC's Guido Canta made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Epifanio Lloret was left in no man's land by his defense there! Valdo Vilela took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Epifanio Lloret. Epifanio Lloret dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Nicholas Corvera charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicholas Corvera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes Leon FC got a freekick which was hit by Nicholas Corvera. Ofelio Encinas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iraitz Santayana during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Leon FC booed when DEPORTIVO CALI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iraitz Santayana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ofelio Encinas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Berasko Aldasoro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind DEPORTIVO CALI's goalkeeper Epifanio Lloret, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ofelio Encinas struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Berasko Aldasoro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DEPORTIVO CALI. If Guido Canta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guido Canta made a kick off. Epifanio Lloret stood somewhat misplaced when Guido Canta came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 54 minute. DEPORTIVO CALI's Epifanio Lloret played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Canta in the 57th minute of play. Ofelio Encinas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Epifanio Lloret showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Canta, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Tavio Canaria kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Berasko Aldasoro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ofelio Encinas in the 79th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Leon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hipolito Berrondo came free, but Berasko Aldasoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Ofelio Encinas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 91 minutes, Valdo Vilela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leon FC and the DEPORTIVO CALI players grew even worse after the yellow card. Valdo Vilela kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Hipolito Berrondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Berasko Aldasoro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
