Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Peru Rojica started the match with the kick off. Egoi Rivadeneira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Belo Deco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberino Sarmiento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberino Sarmiento in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Belo Deco saved El YuYu from getting behind. Santio Montero hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Baladi Escarza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Egoi Rivadeneira took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Belo Deco to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Egoi Rivadeneira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Belo Deco. That made the score 2-0 in the 23 minute of play. Egoi Rivadeneira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peru Rojica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Mauro Gota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Junior FC's Alberino Sarmiento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Belo Deco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 38 minutes, Egoi Rivadeneira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Junior FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Egoi Rivadeneira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 39 minutes, Bautista Cagigas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El YuYu and the Junior FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Junior FC booed when El YuYu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bautista Cagigas didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, El YuYu's Belo Deco got control of the ball when Egoi Rivadeneira tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Egoi Rivadeneira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the match, Junior FC's Egoi Rivadeneira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Belo Deco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

After a defensive mix-up in El YuYu's zone, Alberino Sarmiento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Belo Deco came out of the goal and Alberino Sarmiento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Belo Deco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egoi Rivadeneira in the 53rd minute of play. Mel Yzarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the match, Junior FC's goalkeeper Mauro Gota had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mel Yzarra. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind El YuYu's goalkeeper Belo Deco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to El YuYu getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Peru Rojica hit a great ball. Baladi Escarza hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Santio Montero, 84 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 86th minute, Alberino Sarmiento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Belo Deco was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Alberino Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Egoi Rivadeneira might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Belo Deco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Egoi Rivadeneira ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 92nd match minute, El YuYu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baladi Escarza to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute of the match Santio Montero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Belo Deco skillfully saved the ball. There was no doubt that Junior FC were the better team. Junior FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
