Mauro Gota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeo Fano, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Mauro Gota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Borinaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mauro Gota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Borinaga in the 16th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Tadeo Fano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mauro Gota was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. After 37 played minutes Junior FC got a freekick which was hit by Arsenio Menchaca. After 39 played minutes Caserisito got a freekick which was hit by Brion Lemayo. In the 40th minute, Santio Montero sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Caserisito's Eusebio Llorens didn't even have to move. Junior FC's Mauro Gota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Borinaga in the 43rd minute of play. A collision led to Junior FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Remigio Aguilera hit a great ball. Tadeo Fano kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tadeo Fano to strike the kick off in the second half. Mauro Gota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeo Fano in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Valentin Borinaga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mauro Gota was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 60th minute Egoi Rivadeneira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusebio Llorens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tadeo Fano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 71 played minutes, Caserisito's Xacobo Alfonso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mauro Gota came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Caserisito reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeo Fano in the 74th minute of play forced Junior FC's goalkeeper Mauro Gota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauro Gota made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valentin Borinaga in the 75th minute. A collision led to Caserisito getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Matteo Peciña hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Caserisito's Matteo Peciña got a free kick in the 79th minute. Birjaio Lagos's late challenge caught a Junior FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Birjaio Lagos helped the player get up and apologised. Birjaio Lagos hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Alberino Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Junior FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberino Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Egoi Rivadeneira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd match minute, Caserisito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Birjaio Lagos to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Junior FC had won after a very even match.
