When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Kaan Hulk took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Godofredo Arteaga to make any attempt to save it. If Pio Duque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kaan Hulk who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Godofredo Arteaga when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 39 minutes, Ramos Bodegas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chupamestepenco and the COSMOS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ramos Bodegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godofredo Arteaga having to interfere.

Cresencio Fombona hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The supporters of COSMOS booed when Chupamestepenco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Gabilondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramos Bodegas kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Kaan Hulk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godofredo Arteaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
