Santa Fe DH's Kiko Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Txurio Zumel in the 13th minute of play. Santana Murieta made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Zaquiel Villaro sent off a good shot on target. In the 17th minute Efrain Uribizalgo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santana Murieta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kiko Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Argider Guisasola in the 19th minute of play. After some careless play in the Santa Fe DH defense, Erasto Masa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kiko Monteiro. The Santa Fe DH fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kiko Monteiro should have stopped the shot. 30 minutes into the match, América fc's goal looked a bit too open when Efrain Uribizalgo came free, but Santana Murieta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kiko Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ihazintu Chinchilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Kiko Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasto Masa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Santa Fe DH booed when América fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasto Masa didn't get a good kick on the ball. América fc's Santana Murieta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvio Barrenechea in the 48th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zaquiel Villaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Efrain Uribizalgo in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santana Murieta saved América fc from getting behind. 68 minutes into the game, Yader Ontoria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. América fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santa Fe DH the free kick. Yader Ontoria hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. If Zaquiel Villaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kiko Monteiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ihazintu Chinchilla in the 77th minute. In the 81st minute Efrain Uribizalgo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santana Murieta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 minutes of play, América fc's Erasto Masa made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kiko Monteiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Zaquiel Villaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santa Fe DH's supporters rose to their feet, but Zaquiel Villaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santana Murieta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Santa Fe DH supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching América fc's performance. The match ended with a win for América fc.
