After having played for 9 minutes, Gervaso Retortillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santa Fe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gervaso Retortillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mateo Copeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frisco Guazo having to interfere. Bitxintxo Munguira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frisco Guazo having to interfere. Frisco Guazo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervaso Retortillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danel Vara hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Frisco Guazo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervaso Retortillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Gervaso Retortillo took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frisco Guazo. Frisco Guazo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Mateo Copeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frisco Guazo having to interfere. Frisco Guazo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervaso Retortillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mateo Copeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Frisco Guazo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gervaso Retortillo came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Santa Fe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gervaso Retortillo couldn't finish the play. 32 minutes into the game, Duarte Vecilla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santa Fe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kaittamahana FC the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Kaittamahana FC's Adolfo Resamano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gelacio Sedillo. That made the score 1-1 after 33 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fertus Jaraba in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frisco Guazo saved Kaittamahana FC from getting behind. In the 38th minute Bitxintxo Munguira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frisco Guazo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Marcelo Vaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adolfo Resamano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcelo Vaz kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, Santa Fe's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Resamano came free, but Gelacio Sedillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kaittamahana FC's Danel Vara got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santa Fe's Gervaso Retortillo got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Kaittamahana FC's goalkeeper Frisco Guazo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mateo Copeiro. Fertus Jaraba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Bitxintxo Munguira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
