Inko Rivas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pellas Pandal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xeromo Castaños read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Paulino Goveo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmiro Ribero in the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Catova FC's goalkeeper Xeromo Castaños, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pellas Pandal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xeromo Castaños having to interfere. When Thomas Alzorbe fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Green skull's protests and gave Thomas Alzorbe a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Catova FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Conrado Bernal hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the match, Green skull's Senio Cartagena broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ebardo Toral struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Xeromo Castaños didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Green skull. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Pellas Pandal took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Xeromo Castaños to make any attempt to save it. Xeromo Castaños showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inko Rivas in the 29th minute of the match. Pellas Pandal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inko Rivas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Xeromo Castaños tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thomas Alzorbe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Green skull's Pellas Pandal got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Inko Rivas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xeromo Castaños having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Pellas Pandal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Albano Terres kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Paulino Goveo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergi Oliva in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sergi Oliva to strike the kick off in the second half. Sergi Oliva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Catova FC were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Green skull's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Conrado Bernal took the corner. Paulino Goveo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergi Oliva in the 64th minute of play. Inko Rivas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xeromo Castaños having to interfere. After having played for 68 minutes, Pellas Pandal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Green skull's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pellas Pandal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Pellas Pandal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inko Rivas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xeromo Castaños having to interfere. Inko Rivas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Xeromo Castaños tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thomas Alzorbe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xeromo Castaños having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Ebardo Toral notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Catova FC's Xeromo Castaños. Xeromo Castaños was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Delmiro Ribero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Paulino Goveo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Green skull's Paulino Goveo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergi Oliva in the 94th minute of play. The supporters of Catova FC booed when Green skull was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Alzorbe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Green skull walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
