Sandaili Paris who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 6thth minute tested the skills of Camilo Mariategui when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, ATLETICO NACIONAL's Bahiano Santiso got a free kick in the 7th minute. Narciso Lazaro might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Denis Chago. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Narciso Lazaro ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Lazaro in the 14th minute of play forced ATLETICO NACIONAL's goalkeeper Denis Chago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Jeraldo Mogrovejo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denis Chago stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Loreto Moracia's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Marciano Rodero kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After 24 minutes, Sandaili Paris made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Chuanco FC's Camilo Mariategui tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sandaili Paris got free with Camilo Mariategui in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Denis Chago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Lazaro in the 29th minute of play. Bahiano Santiso had several of the Chuanco FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 32 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Camilo Mariategui as he didn't even see the shot coming. 35 minutes into the match, ATLETICO NACIONAL's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Lazaro came free, but Denis Chago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sandaili Paris could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Camilo Mariategui made a huge save. In the 43rd minute, Marciano Rodero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sandaili Paris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Mariategui having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sandaili Paris stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Sandaili Paris who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chuanco FC's Camilo Mariategui was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Chuanco FC defense, Bahiano Santiso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Camilo Mariategui. The Chuanco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camilo Mariategui should have stopped the shot. 60 minutes into the game, Narciso Lazaro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chuanco FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ATLETICO NACIONAL the free kick. Sandaili Paris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Camilo Mariategui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, ATLETICO NACIONAL's Jesus Gau got a free kick in the 64th minute. With a little luck, ATLETICO NACIONAL's Denis Chago got control of the ball when Narciso Lazaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narciso Lazaro got free with Denis Chago in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Camilo Mariategui came out of the goal and Sandaili Paris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th match minute, Chuanco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sengrat Sotilla to maneuver through the defense. Loreto Moracia hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loreto Moracia in the 95th minute of play forced ATLETICO NACIONAL's goalkeeper Denis Chago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 97th minute Loreto Moracia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Chago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ATLETICO NACIONAL fully deserved thier win.
