After 18 played minutes Independiente Santa Fe got a freekick which was hit by Miliano Pelaci. Bras Subiza hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute of the match Genaro Arenzana shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Larra Yañez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Chuanco FC fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Chuanco FC's Marciano Rodero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tiago Clavijo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Camilo Mariategui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute Narciso Lazaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Larra Yañez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Loreto Moracia made a kick off. With a little luck, Independiente Santa Fe's Larra Yañez got control of the ball when Narciso Lazaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Independiente Santa Fe's goalkeeper Larra Yañez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Narciso Lazaro. Chuanco FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Narciso Lazaro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Larra Yañez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Larra Yañez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Narciso Lazaro in the 82nd minute. Marciano Rodero hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Xizavier Gurendes charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xizavier Gurendes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th match minute, Chuanco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xizavier Gurendes to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Independiente Santa Fe booed when Chuanco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marciano Rodero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiago Clavijo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Camilo Mariategui read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Amadeo Anillo hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
