Opilano Areces fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilmar Villornate having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Lions's Xinto Riero slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vitor Barrieta. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. Xinto Riero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitor Barrieta having to interfere. Celtic FC's Opilano Areces got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Xinto Riero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vitor Barrieta was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Xinto Riero succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 34th playminute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Opilano Areces to strike the kick off in the second half. Xinto Riero charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xinto Riero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Xinto Riero hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. When Martxot Navarrete fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Celtic FC's protests and gave Martxot Navarrete a yellow card for diving instead. Martxot Navarrete kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Opilano Areces recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vitor Barrieta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xinto Riero, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After a rather tough play, Lions's Xinto Riero got a free kick in the 81st minute. Erroman Giral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Vitor Barrieta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86thth minute of the game Xinto Riero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Celtic FC's Vitor Barrieta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Matias Cachorro had several of the Lions's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 88 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Gilmar Villornate as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 94th minute, Erroman Giral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vitor Barrieta was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Lions's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
