With a little luck, ATLETICO NACIONAL's Denis Chago got control of the ball when Xavieon Aldama tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Xavieon Aldama had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the match, Urtsua Fuenmayor dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Denis Chago, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vimaro Ruega in the 16th minute of play forced ATLETICO NACIONAL's goalkeeper Denis Chago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaen Vuelta during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vimaro Ruega who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Denis Chago when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 23 minutes into the match, Realcartacho's goal looked a bit too open when Bahiano Santiso came free, but Ireno Obaldia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Realcartacho's goal looked a bit too open when Sandaili Paris came free, but Ireno Obaldia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Urtsua Fuenmayor got free with Denis Chago in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Denis Chago stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vimaro Ruega's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Realcartacho's Jaen Vuelta got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in ATLETICO NACIONAL's zone, Xavieon Aldama stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denis Chago came out of the goal and Xavieon Aldama tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xavieon Aldama made in the 45th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ATLETICO NACIONAL's Venerando Sandino. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sandaili Paris made a kick off. Maximilian Ahlbom charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximilian Ahlbom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, ATLETICO NACIONAL's Maximilian Ahlbom got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Realcartacho's Vimaro Ruega tried to score from far away in the 53rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Sandaili Paris could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Ireno Obaldia made a huge save. Ermegildo Morente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Denis Chago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vimaro Ruega in the 60th minute of the match. After having played for 61 minutes, Ermegildo Morente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Realcartacho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ermegildo Morente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anastasio Concepcion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ireno Obaldia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sandaili Paris went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Realcartacho's Xavieon Aldama got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaen Vuelta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denis Chago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavieon Aldama, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Jaen Vuelta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Denis Chago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Sandaili Paris reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ireno Obaldia. The goal made the score 1-2. Realcartacho's Ireno Obaldia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Realcartacho from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Venerando Sandino during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 89 played minutes ATLETICO NACIONAL got a freekick which was hit by Venerando Sandino. 95 minutes into the match, Sandaili Paris had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ireno Obaldia. Realcartacho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sandaili Paris was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The Realcartacho supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching ATLETICO NACIONAL's performance. The match ended with a win for ATLETICO NACIONAL.
