Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After 4 minutes, Beltza Goyeneta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the América de cali and the Guatica FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Piearres Ramallal, 5 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Haroldo Rallo charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Haroldo Rallo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th match minute, Guatica FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Rallo to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute Lucila Senties shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elizardo Yurre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Batista Betancurt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucila Senties sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Archibaldo Pellicer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Frasquito Abin came out and tried to block the shot, but Archibaldo Pellicer slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 30th minute. Guatica FC's Elizardo Yurre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucila Senties in the 34th minute of play. Batista Betancurt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frasquito Abin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Batista Betancurt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for América de cali!

In the 55th minute, Archibaldo Pellicer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucila Senties recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cris Oñez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elizardo Yurre having to interfere. Guatica FC's Rius Andibidria got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cris Oñez's late challenge caught a Guatica FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cris Oñez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd minute, Batista Betancurt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rius Andibidria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, América de cali's Cris Oñez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Elizardo Yurre. Elizardo Yurre yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Elizardo Yurre made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Lucila Senties sent off a good shot on target. Frasquito Abin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Batista Betancurt in the 94th minute of play. There was no doubt that Guatica FC were the better team. Guatica FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
