Luis Perales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucila Senties, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cris Oñez to make the kick off. In the 55th match minute, Orion F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Turi Albaratay to maneuver through the defense. Lluis Trielles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lluis Trielles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frasquito Abin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Lluis Trielles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frasquito Abin having to make a save. Lluis Trielles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lucila Senties received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Luis Perales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, América de cali's Luis Perales threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cris Oñez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 83 minutes into the game, Aquilino Recio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. América de cali's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Orion F.C. the free kick. A collision led to América de cali getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Aquilino Recio hit a great ball. Frasquito Abin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Federico Salaya's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. After a defensive mix-up in América de cali's zone, Lluis Trielles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frasquito Abin came out of the goal and Lluis Trielles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Lucila Senties came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the América de cali fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucila Senties couldn't finish the play. Orion F.C.'s Luis Perales proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Orion F.C. from getting a goal against them. If Lluis Trielles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Although Orion F.C. had been in control for most of the match, América de cali still came away with the win.
