Spectators: 8071 (Terracing: 6055, Seating: 1856, VIP seats: 160) Orion F.C.'s Lluis Trielles started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Criston Arevalo kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Martin Villachica took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luis Perales. Luis Perales dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Luis Perales came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Medellín FC's Martin Villachica. But to his dismay, Martin Villachica quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Federico Salaya during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Federico Salaya kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. With a little luck, Atlético Medellín FC's Mariano Falces got control of the ball when Montae Ribalta tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 31 minutes, Turi Albaratay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Orion F.C. and the Atlético Medellín FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Turi Albaratay kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Federico Salaya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Atlético Medellín FC booed when Orion F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Pobes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the game, one of Atlético Medellín FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Orion F.C. a penalty, 45 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Federico Salaya, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atlético Medellín FC's Mariano Falces. 1-2. The Orion F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Atlético Medellín FC were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Martin Villachica to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Federico Salaya in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mariano Falces saved Atlético Medellín FC from getting behind. In the 53rd match minute, Orion F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Turi Albaratay to maneuver through the defense. Luis Perales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eguerdi Cambas in the 59th minute of play. In the 64th minute, Eguerdi Cambas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luis Perales was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Eguerdi Cambas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Luis Perales made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Villachica in the 73rd minute of play forced Orion F.C.'s goalkeeper Luis Perales to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Orion F.C.'s goalkeeper Luis Perales had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eguerdi Cambas. 81 minutes into the game, Atlético Medellín FC's Eguerdi Cambas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luis Perales made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Orion F.C.'s Haimar Zubeldia was substituted for Turi Albaratay. In the 85th minute, Montae Ribalta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 87 minutes into the game, Honesto Holgado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Medellín FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Orion F.C. the free kick. A collision led to Atlético Medellín FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Honesto Holgado hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Orion F.C.'s goalkeeper Luis Perales, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Atlético Medellín FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
