Mendiko Euque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lluis Trielles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Orion F.C. booed when STIFFEN F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Cedro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Federico Salaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Orion F.C.'s Turi Albaratay got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 30th minute Montae Ribalta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mendiko Euque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Perales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guaberto Queiruga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mendiko Euque didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Federico Salaya went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 38th minute Federico Salaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mendiko Euque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Perales was a little too slow when Bitxintxo Borras got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lluis Trielles made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Orion F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Federico Salaya. Luis Perales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guaberto Queiruga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. STIFFEN F.C.'s Mendiko Euque proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save STIFFEN F.C. from getting a goal against them. A collision led to STIFFEN F.C. getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Deunoro Labastida hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Orion F.C.'s Mendiko Euque threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lluis Trielles, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 70 minutes into the match, Orion F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Bitxintxo Borras came free, but Luis Perales reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Orion F.C.'s Bladi Nobajas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mendiko Euque made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. If Orlando Cedro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the STIFFEN F.C. defense, Lluis Trielles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mendiko Euque. The STIFFEN F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mendiko Euque should have stopped the shot. Bitxintxo Borras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Luis Perales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Haimar Zubeldia hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Gökalp Tefhim took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luis Perales. Orion F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
