In the 14th minute Bitxintxo Borras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pepillo Prelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Independiente Medellin's attentive Eulalio Valdecañas managed to snatch the ball when Radowit Gondek made a throw-in in the 17th minute of the game. Guaberto Queiruga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pepillo Prelo having to interfere. Pepillo Prelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Aceituno in the 20th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Independiente Medellin's goal looked a bit too open when Bitxintxo Borras came free, but Pepillo Prelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Aceituno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Faruk Demirman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mendiko Euque, 2-0. In the 30th match minute, Independiente Medellin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Quizan to maneuver through the defense. After 34 minutes, Benet Peralves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Independiente Medellin and the STIFFEN F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Independiente Medellin getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Benet Peralves hit a great ball. Martin Quizan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mendiko Euque having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guaberto Queiruga to make the kick off. Independiente Medellin walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
