Nottingham Forest's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave América de cali the free kick. After a rather tough play, Nottingham Forest's Zunbeltz Iribarne got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 93rd minute, América de cali's Cris Oñez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-8. When the final whistle sounded América de cali left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Nottingham Forest.
