Fernandez Ponte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Feliberto Ayensa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. After 35 minutes of play, Barrizal FC's Thomas Villacorta made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Feliberto Ayensa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Barrizal FC's Fernandez Ponte got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Orkatz Uribizalgo hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernandez Ponte to make the kick off. Thomas Villacorta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Ayensa having to interfere. If Fernandez Ponte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Thomas Villacorta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barrizal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomas Villacorta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Feliberto Ayensa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
