With a little luck, Estrella's Matro Cagigal got control of the ball when Thomas Villacorta tried to sneak it across the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Estrella's goal looked a bit too open when Fernandez Ponte came free, but Matro Cagigal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernandez Ponte made a kick off. Demario Sardaneta kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Matro Cagigal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandez Ponte in the 65th minute of the match. Estrella's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciceron Cervera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Demario Sardaneta's late challenge caught a Barrizal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Demario Sardaneta helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Estrella's Demario Sardaneta got a free kick in the 97th minute.
