Olympik AS's Rene Fariñada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Abalos in the 11th minute of play. Rene Fariñada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaston Abalos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ado Rigueiro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 15th minute. Olympik AS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 18 minutes into the game, Elbanco FC's Teofilo Carreño nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rene Fariñada made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 22nd minute, Olympik AS's Marquez Galarza seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Marquez Galarza the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Olympik AS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marquez Galarza had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Olympik AS! The referee ignored Olympik AS's protests and gave Aztore Loizaga a yellow card for diving instead. Aztore Loizaga kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaston Abalos in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rene Fariñada saved Olympik AS from getting behind. Rene Fariñada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaston Abalos in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Blas Goxenola made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Olympik AS's goalkeeper Rene Fariñada had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teofilo Carreño. A collision led to Olympik AS getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Eskuin Olaondo hit a great ball. Gaston Abalos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Rene Fariñada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Abalos, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the game, Zeru Afonte cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Rene Fariñada was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rene Fariñada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaston Abalos in the 76th minute of the match.
