In the 13th minute of the match, Vachon Alarcon tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Andrew Inchausti saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Melendez FC's Paublo Galguera got a free kick in the 37th minute. Urdin Lino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paublo Galguera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Melendez FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Benja Garrandes in the 42nd minute. Aniquiladores's Urdin Lino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paublo Galguera in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
