The audience thought a goal was coming when Haroldo Sardaneta got free with Haroldo Ligero in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Dragon Rojo's zone, Delfino Guibar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haroldo Ligero came out of the goal and Delfino Guibar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Luciano Pagola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dragon Rojo's supporters rose to their feet, but Luciano Pagola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hurko Tesillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Haroldo Sardaneta who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Haroldo Ligero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 45 played minutes Dragon Rojo got a freekick which was hit by Lartaun Percaz. Marcones Almazan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo Ligero having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Haroldo Sardaneta made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Marcones Almazan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Damian Churruca during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Haroldo Sardaneta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Haroldo Ligero was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 77th minute, Marcones Almazan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Haroldo Sardaneta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Haroldo Ligero was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. When Damian Churruca was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 79 minutes had been played. In the 79th match minute, Dragon Rojo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Churruca to maneuver through the defense. Haroldo Ligero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Sardaneta in the 82nd minute of the match.
