An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fernando Muriel in the 18th minute of play forced Trompitas FC's goalkeeper Aloisio Villamañan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Ellande Quintanilla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trompitas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ellande Quintanilla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Maléř breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ricardo Obiaga struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. André Maléř didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trompitas FC. Pierre Obree kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Trompitas FC's Aloisio Villamañan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Trompitas FC from getting a goal against them. Urtats Elizalde charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Urtats Elizalde the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 played minutes Trompitas FC got a freekick which was hit by Urtats Elizalde. In the 45th minute, Warriors de Barranquilla's Luís Fernando Muriel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aloisio Villamañan. Aloisio Villamañan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Aloisio Villamañan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Warriors de Barranquilla's André Maléř got control of the ball when Ricardo Obiaga tried to sneak it across the goal line. André Maléř made an important save on a dangerous shot by Urtats Elizalde in the 79th minute. After 82 minutes of play, Warriors de Barranquilla's Florentino Gelmiro made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jarle Røberg couldn't finish the play. Aloisio Villamañan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marques Chavez in the 89th minute of the match. Warriors de Barranquilla's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
