In the 9th match minute, Chandozos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vellito Colmenares to maneuver through the defense. Tiago Ozuna scored 0-2 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gar Cumbres, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Frutos Baltanas fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atletico Nacional's protests and gave Frutos Baltanas a yellow card for diving instead. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Club Atletico Nacional! The goalkeeper, Gora Argandona, was totally fooled by Chandozos's Vernon Cryer, who 15 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 17thth minute of the game Raymon Albisu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atletico Nacional's Gora Argandona was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Tiago Ozuna sped through Chandozos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gar Cumbres. Club Atletico Nacional's Gora Argandona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adan Catalan in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Ozuna in the 28th minute of play forced Chandozos's goalkeeper Gar Cumbres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gora Argandona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raymon Albisu in the 34th minute of play. Gar Cumbres came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico Nacional's Tiago Ozuna. But to his dismay, Tiago Ozuna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. In the 38th minute, Rutenio Galdamiz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atletico Nacional fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-6. Gora Argandona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymon Albisu, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vellito Colmenares in the 46th minute of play forced Club Atletico Nacional's goalkeeper Gora Argandona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 2-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 75th minute of the match Chandozos got a corner. Club Atletico Nacional's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vernon Cryer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Vernon Cryer made a great header on Chandozos's corner, it was just that Club Atletico Nacional's Gora Argandona managed to reach the ball for a save. 75 minutes into the match, Adan Catalan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gora Argandona. Club Atletico Nacional's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adan Catalan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-7. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Nacional's Pes Pliego got a free kick in the 79th minute. After taking down the ball on Chandozos's corner Vernon Cryer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gora Argandona quite easily take care of the ball. If Osoro Valaguer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gora Argandona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mantzio Consul, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Francesco Suarbol struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Gora Argandona didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chandozos. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Club Atletico Nacional walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
