But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aloisio Castroviejo couldn't finish the play. Cordearo Pesante hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Alpes FC's Gervaso Rebellon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Reynardo Abaurre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Atletico Mede's Reynardo Abaurre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Atletico Mede from getting a goal against them. When Reynardo Tehas fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atletico Mede's protests and gave Reynardo Tehas a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 played minutes Atletico Mede got a freekick which was hit by Reynardo Tehas. Reynardo Abaurre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camilo Salmanton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

After a rather tough play, Atletico Mede's Amadeo Alzola got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Crescencio Arbulo struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute.
