To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A sloppy throw-in by Bartoleme Villasante in the 42nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Club Ibiza's Lúcio Cerezo. Club Ibiza were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Penuel Football Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mariano Ireno took the corner. A hard shot 48 in the game by Bruno Fonso from a close distance when the talented Epifanio Gabrio managed to make a qualified save. Penuel Football Club's players were relieved. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nando Pereira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
