Tulio Arizmendez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Crispo Ruy managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when Vetecual's Tulio Arizmendez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 18th minute, Iztal Mecaur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 20 played minutes, Mapiricure FC's Pedro Sieira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Laurentzi Clas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mapiricure FC reached it. After having played for 21 minutes, Tulio Arizmendez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vetecual's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tulio Arizmendez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Vetecual's Cedro Calvete in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mapiricure FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mapiricure FC's goalkeeper Crispo Ruy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 35th minute Locaio Soldevila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurentzi Clas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laurentzi Clas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Locaio Soldevila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Mapiricure FC's zone, Tulio Arizmendez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Crispo Ruy came out of the goal and Tulio Arizmendez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luar Tanasio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 47th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.

In the 55th minute, one of Vetecual:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Vetecual. The referee gave Mapiricure FC a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pedro Sieira, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Vetecual's Laurentzi Clas. 1-2. Locaio Soldevila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurentzi Clas having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Locaio Soldevila had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Laurentzi Clas. Vetecual's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Locaio Soldevila was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 74th minute, Tiago Manrique hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Locaio Soldevila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laurentzi Clas came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Mapiricure FC's Locaio Soldevila. But to his dismay, Locaio Soldevila quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. In the 82nd match minute, Vetecual was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patxi Mesonero to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Sieira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Laurentzi Clas. Vetecual's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Montel Belaunde got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 98th minute, Iztal Mecaur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Mapiricure FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mapiricure FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
