The crowd rose to their feet as Cuajaracume FC's Baudelio Valles slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Santio Ason. That made the score 1-0 after 43 minutes of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Santio Ason made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evis Aleja in the 54th minute of play. If Meendez Modet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Baudelio Valles hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Martino Urraburu charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a defensive mix-up in Cuajaracume FC's zone, Meendez Modet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Llorenc Borja came out of the goal and Meendez Modet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 85 minutes into the game, Cuajaracume FC's Incendio Hita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Santio Ason made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Arsenal FC's Meendez Modet got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zuzen Quesada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cuajaracume FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
