The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, Calazanero's Timo Labandera sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eneko Tagle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Caratalito FC's Eneko Tagle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agostinho Herbi in the 11th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Calazanero's Agostinho Herbi got a free kick in the 13th minute. Resto Iriarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimo Isasaga having to interfere. If Agostinho Herbi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Calisto Barrio during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Caratalito FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! Eneko Tagle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agostinho Herbi, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florinio Casanueva in the 32nd minute of play forced Calazanero's goalkeeper Dimo Isasaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Calazanero's Dimo Isasaga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Calazanero from getting a goal against them. Florinio Casanueva struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Dimo Isasaga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caratalito FC. Agostinho Herbi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Eneko Tagle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Resto Iriarte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maule Mecaur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eneko Tagle having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Agostinho Herbi made a kick off. Eneko Tagle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agostinho Herbi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute, Bilbo Benites hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dimo Isasaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florinio Casanueva in the 75th minute of the match. If Resto Iriarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maule Mecaur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dimo Isasaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Resto Iriarte in the 91st minute of the match. Bernard Cayon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Dimo Isasaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
