After some careless play in the Granadillo defense, Eustaquio Borrego kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aquilino Olaisola. The Granadillo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aquilino Olaisola should have stopped the shot. Ascencio Rozano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rey Surga having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Granadillo's goalkeeper Aquilino Olaisola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Txema Gainzarain. If Hector-Luis Irastorza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36thth minute of the game Txema Gainzarain who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Granadillo's Aquilino Olaisola was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Granadillo's Ascencio Rozano in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Capiricual's goalie prevented a goal. In the 42nd minute, Ascencio Rozano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rey Surga was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 45th minute, Eustaquio Borrego left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Capiricual fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eustaquio Borrego was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Capiricual's Vincente Abrea got a free kick in the 51st minute. If Txema Gainzarain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hector-Luis Irastorza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Rey Surga made a huge save. If Matro Barrios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ascencio Rozano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Capiricual's Honorio Bayas got a free kick in the 69th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Hector-Luis Irastorza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Granadillo's supporters rose to their feet, but Hector-Luis Irastorza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rey Surga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th match minute, Capiricual was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorio Bayas to maneuver through the defense. Arano Comas, 76 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ascencio Rozano was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 81st minute. Granadillo's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 86th match minute, Granadillo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cruz Artealde to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eustaquio Borrego in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aquilino Olaisola saved Granadillo from getting behind. In the 92nd minute, Reyes Barrera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Capiricual players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
