The audience was convinced that Pancho Rabin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elizardo Orcajo was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. In the 28th minute, Pancho Rabin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Limoncito FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Elizardo Orcajo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aresti Monzonis in the 32nd minute of the match. When Aresti Monzonis came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Limoncito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aresti Monzonis couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes into the match, Limoncito FC's goal looked a bit too open when Saturnin Balpuesta came free, but Cloyo Arbaiza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Txurio Chasco fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Limoncito FC's protests and gave Txurio Chasco a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Academia Valenciana booed when Limoncito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Txurio Chasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pancho Rabin struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Elizardo Orcajo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Limoncito FC. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aresti Monzonis made a kick off. In the 62nd minute, Academia Valenciana's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aresti Monzonis fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aresti Monzonis in the 65th minute of play forced Academia Valenciana's goalkeeper Elizardo Orcajo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Academia Valenciana getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Martin Mones hit a great ball. Leizarraga Alcayde, 69 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 70th minute, Limoncito FC's Aresti Monzonis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Elizardo Orcajo. Elizardo Orcajo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. A collision led to Limoncito FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Txurio Chasco hit a great ball. Patxi Tobia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Cloyo Arbaiza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patxi Tobia took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cloyo Arbaiza. Cloyo Arbaiza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. After 85 played minutes Academia Valenciana got a freekick which was hit by Rioja Valensuela. In the 87th minute Limoncito FC were awarded a corner. Leizarraga Alcayde went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Luciano Laspron got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Elizardo Orcajo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 96 minutes into the match, Limoncito FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patxi Tobia came free, but Cloyo Arbaiza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Limoncito FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
